Well...

If a CD of songs like this was in stores then I would most likely buy it ^_^

Very good job. My only complaint is the length of course, but yeah, just a preview so no problem with the full version most likely.

Sounds very professional and well done. I can tell you put a lot of effort in there.

Ill probably check out some other stuff by you.....if you don't mind of course :)

djInTheDark responds:

Yeah I would have loved to post the whole thing, but if people had access to the whole thing for free, what would be the point of buying the album eh?

Why would I mind if you looked around? Thats why its there!! ;D

ehhhhehe

its pretty good. it got kinda repeptitie tho and there was really no breakdown, just all build up....and with a trance song...you need that. drums also need to be a bit less repetitive. its good tho. 5/10 3/5

Thank you for the review.

i loved it!!

this song was great! I just think you coulda been a little more creative with the drums tho....everything else is amazing. keep it up! 9/10 4/5

headwizer responds:

Thanks, I appreciate it! Sadly drums are my weakness :( I will try to work on them in future songs.

good start

Well to me this sounds like a few random notes played over and over while you turn a few knobs. I also recognize a few SLIGHTLY tweaked presets from the MicroKorg. If this was an ambient song I'd give it a 4, but as techno I'd give it about a two. For your next song try to develop a constant melody and add some drums, pads, bass, and all that. It seems like you did all this live, and unless you are reaally good at piano, i recommend you do some editing. There's tons of programs you could use, like FL studio, Cubase, Garage Band, etc. Its a good starting point though. I think itll be interesting to see how you progress. Keep working!

Candyshaver responds:

Actually man I don't do presets. And I have the midi data saved from the notes played. The problem lies in I recorded more than one take of it after playing keys and figuring out which sound would go best with it. Originally the signal was recorded using a generic polysynth sound just as a firm medium, which I used my Korg Poly 800 which has more keys immediately available so that I don't need to be stuck with 3 octaves.

I've since submitting this actually got really good at recreating sounds based on what I hear, took a while though. I got a sound similar created, but not exact, which is still biffing me. In terms of genre, I've been told by others that Japanese Noise Movement, although I really don't agree with that for some reason.

Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated.

uh......

you TOTALLY have one of tony's songs stuck in your head lol. Cause the melody is pretty darn similar

http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/liste n/233917 after about a minute in

but since it is different to some extent and is pretty decent ill give it a 7.

But since you didnt notice it was kind of tony's melody i take off a point :P

so 6/10 3.5/5

Bump-Da-Beet responds:

O. O uhhh no i just made somethin up i didnt steal his thing

oh..

So you did decide to upload it. It doesnt bother me as much as i thought it would since the style is much different. I thought you were gonna make a version that sounded almost JUST like mine lol. Thank god you didnt though :P

So yah different then mine which is good and doesnt sound that bad. Then the glitching (or whatever you wanna call it) sounded good too.

4/5 8/10

Bump-Da-Beet responds:

Wow thats the best rating you ever gave me :) i put it up as a surprise ;) just for you! Lol but yea short and simple but yea it is completely different.... Probably my best song on here or at least best remix.... it used to be a 4.27 but someone rated it low so yea but it will come back up i hope but anyways thx for reviewing! D.J. [{GammaX9}]

land0lakes responds:

Thanks. I'll check your stuff out too.

And I appreciate the high ratings!!

LOL

I liked it and it was funny haha. It was actually well made too. I remember that show and I used to think the theme song was catchy. I think I have a few videos of it laying around *Begins searching*

4/5 9/10

Dreamcastle responds:

Thanks, man. I had no intent on putting any humor into it, but if you thought it was funny rock on.

GREATTTT

This is a grreaaattt song. The distorted bass sound and the melodies are AWESOME. If i had to pick out a couple things.....:
1. Maybe turned down the echoed crash a little in the beginning
2. Make a more exciting intro to draw people in and listen to the rest of the song-cuz the rest is great
3. And yeah like you said it needs mastering

Other that that....its great! Keep up the good work!

Sacrafan responds:

Ok, one thing with point 2, What i like about that boring beginning is the fact that its rave. As i said below, it gets you going! And people who REALLY know their music know that so they hear the boring first part and they are gonna be like "SWEET! Its gonna be a cool rave!" Anyway, thanks for this review, I will take your advice, although the intro is still going to be slightly bland i'm guessing.

grrrr

my computer is being really slow today, so i dont feel like going through the whole song, but from the beginning i must say that i liked it. What did you use for the main sound? So yah its pretty cool.

8/10 4/5

Blizzaine responds:

The main sound?

You mean the lead? at the start its "A simple saw" From Nexus and the main lead is "Another World" From nexus
